IFSW provides a news service providing information about developments in social work which we consider will be of interest to a world readership with an interest in social policy and social work.

We aim to cover news stories in the following areas:

IFSW global and regional news – activities and statements News and publications from United Nations agencies and other global and regional bodies which are relevant to social work National news about the status, development and promotion of the social work profession in individual countries News from Member Organisations

The news service provides a short summary of the story or publication with a link to the originating website where more information can be found.

We do not claim that our coverage is systematic or comprehensive. Feedback tells us that the service is appreciated and our statistics show that new stories receive more than 20,000 visits a month.
